You are right, we have to keep certain capabilities, but putting tariffs on everything doesn´t do the job. Our trading partners will retaliate and at the very end the whole world is poorer than before. Maybe others more than us but especially people in the lower income bracket will suffer.
I’d be very cautious with Polymarket. There are numerous red flags, including a lack of transparency and multiple scam warnings about unresolved bets or outcomes being resolved incorrectly.
Yes, I fully agree with you on that! But the point is more about not outsourcing everything. It’s essential to keep some production capabilities to remain more independent. We need a plan for what we can produce, where to invest, and how to become a manufacturing nation again.
We buy goods from abroad because they can be produced significantly cheaper in countries like China. It is an illusion that those jobs could be brought back home with monthly minimum wages of around 300 USD in China.

Firstly: Welcome! Tariffs may raise prices, but they’re meant to bring jobs back home. Billionaires pay a large share of income taxes, but should their wealth be taxed more or invested for growth? Meanwhile, the government urgently needs to stop its insane spending before we collapse!
Trumps tariffs are worse than Kamalas plans... Higher prices for everyone and lower taxes benefiting mostly his billionaire friends ..... think about how much an iphone built in the US would cost
Have to agree after today’s race. But what was more shocking were all the rookie mistakes from so many others. Sorry, but some are just too young. And Fernando literally doesn’t give a shit anymore this year.
This Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll of 808 likely voters… What a joke! A push poll everyone took way too seriously. Kamala Harris leading in Iowa? 😂 No other pollster has even come close to that result. But sure, let’s pretend Iowa just flipped overnight.
100%! It’s a mystery why so many media outlets link to Polymarket without digging deeper into its shady reputation. I’d never trust them with my money, that’s for sure.
Polymarket is all over the news for its US presidential betting, but beware: a deeper look reveals major red flags. Many bets remain unresolved, pending indefinitely, or even settled incorrectly. Tons of complaints—think twice before trusting them.
