Donald Trump hosts sheriff's deputies who arrested Ryan Routh at Mar-a-Lago

Former President Donald Trump hosted deputies from the Martin County Sheriff's Office at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday to recognize their role in arresting Ryan Wesley Routh, the individual suspected of attempting to assassinate him. Footage from the event showed Trump shaking hands with the deputies at his estate.

The incident occurred when a Secret Service agent noticed the barrel of an AK-47 sticking out from the bushes near the property. At the time, Trump was golfing approximately 400-500 yards away and was unharmed. The suspect fled the scene, leaving his rifle behind, and was later apprehended by the deputies from Martin County.

Both the Secret Service and local law enforcement acted swiftly to ensure the security of the area and to apprehend the suspect.
