Cybersecurity expert Clay Parikh testified in a trial on Monday, stating that Georgia's Dominion Voting System machines are vulnerable to hacking. Parikh, speaking on behalf of the DeKalb County Republican Party, explained that the machines in Georgia and other states using the same system could be compromised.
The GOP's lawsuit against the Georgia secretary of state's office raised concerns about the security of the voting machines. According to Parikh, encryption keys that protect passwords were exposed in election databases released by four Georgia counties after records requests. Parikh was able to access the encryption keys and find identical passwords used in Dominion machines across different states, potentially allowing hackers to manipulate results in future elections, including the 2024 election.
The secretary of state’s attorneys argued that these claims had been raised and rejected in courts across the country before, describing Parikh’s testimony as “tired old claims.”
