Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) highlighted Vice President Kamala Harris's high staff turnover rate, citing it as a concern regarding her capability to lead. Speaking with Tucker Carlson, Vance pointed out that Harris’s staff turnover, reportedly at 92%, significantly exceeds the average for campaign staff. Vance questioned the competence of Harris’s leadership, raising concerns about her ability to manage critical situations, such as international conflicts.
“If 92% of your staff doesn’t want to work for you, maybe that person shouldn’t be elected president,” Vance remarked during the interview. He also expressed doubts about Harris's ability to negotiate with world leaders in high-stakes situations.
Shifting focus, Vance discussed potential challenges a second Trump administration might face. He predicted that enacting policies such as mass deportations, one of Trump's key campaign promises, could be met with significant opposition.
Another concern Vance addressed was the bond market, warning that international investors might raise bond rates, which could create financial difficulties for the U.S. government. He emphasized the importance of selecting a capable treasury secretary to stabilize the country's finances.
Carlson and Vance are set to continue their discussions on Saturday during a live event in Hershey, Pennsylvania, as part of Carlson’s tour, which has featured guests like Glenn Beck and Donald Trump Jr.
