Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) criticized Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) on Wednesday following their recent vice presidential debate. At a rally in Auburn Hills, Michigan, Vance mocked Walz for mistakenly saying he had “become friends with school shooters” during a discussion on gun control. Walz later clarified he meant those affected by gun violence, not the shooters.
Vance revisited the debate at the rally, criticizing Walz's stance on the economy and government censorship. He also defended former President Trump's economic policies, dismissing concerns about inflation and expressing frustration with opposing economists.
Vance shifted his focus to the transition to electric vehicles, claiming that Vice President Kamala Harris's policies would harm Michigan auto workers.
Meanwhile, Walz continued his campaign in Pennsylvania alongside Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA), addressing his debate performance and criticizing Vance for not directly answering whether the 2020 election was stolen, calling it “disqualifying.”
