A rally planned for former President Donald Trump in Wisconsin was relocated to an indoor venue due to a Secret Service staffing shortage. Originally scheduled as an outdoor event at an airport, the rally will now take place in a smaller indoor arena in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, according to CBS News.
The Secret Service cited the shortage as a result of heightened security demands at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, where foreign leaders are attending the annual meeting.
This change in venue follows a recent arrest related to an incident at Trump’s golf club in Palm Beach, Florida, where a suspect pointed a gun through bushes. Trump has faced previous security concerns, including an attempted assassination at an outdoor rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July.
The event in Wisconsin is part of Trump’s ongoing campaign efforts as he continues to hold rallies across the country.
