John McLaughlin, a prominent pollster for former President Donald Trump, has predicted a significant rise in early voting by Republicans in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. Speaking on the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show, McLaughlin noted that many media reports are observing an increase in Republican mail-in voting across various states. He further emphasized that early in-person voting is expected to be substantial.
McLaughlin pointed to data from states like Virginia, Arizona, and Pennsylvania, where early voting has already started. In Virginia, local reports show a 38% increase in early voting compared to the 2020 presidential election.
The pollster also suggested that most votes could be cast before November 1, and that Republican voters, particularly supporters of Trump, are likely to engage in early voting in numbers similar to those of Democrats.
McLaughlin believes that this surge in early voting could play a decisive role in the outcome of the election.
