Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) announced on Monday that it has taken a significant step toward enhancing its TV streaming platform, Truth+ Social TV. The platform is powered by a custom-built content delivery network (CDN) that now operates from multiple locations across the U.S. This upgrade is expected to make the network a more sophisticated and efficient content distribution system.
Truth+ Social TV is part of the broader Truth Social platform, a social media competitor to Elon Musk’s X (formerly Twitter). According to TMTG, the company is expanding its TV streaming capabilities and content, with additional data centers set to open soon. CEO Devin Nunes stated that this growth aligns with Truth Social’s mission to become a "fortress of free speech" on the Internet.
The company plans to provide a range of programming, including news, Christian content, and family-friendly shows. The goal is to create a platform that cannot be "canceled" by major tech companies, often referred to as "Big Tech."
Former President Donald Trump founded TMTG in 2021, following his removal from Twitter after the January 6 Capitol protests. Despite Twitter’s new ownership under Elon Musk, Trump continues to use Truth Social as his primary platform for sharing his thoughts.
