Former President Donald Trump holds a slight lead over Vice President Kamala Harris in Wisconsin, according to a new poll from the Trafalgar Group. The survey, conducted from September 28-30, shows Trump with 47.1% support compared to Harris's 46%.
In the poll, 3.8% of respondents indicated they were undecided, while 3.1% chose “other” as their preferred candidate. The survey questioned a mix of political affiliations, with 36.4% identifying as Democrats, 36.1% as Republicans, and 27.5% as independents.
The majority of respondents were over the age of 50, accounting for 71.7% of the sample, while 84.3% identified as white Americans. The gender breakdown was nearly even, with male and female participants making up roughly equal parts of the poll.
This recent poll follows a mid-July Trafalgar survey where Trump led President Joe Biden by 3 points before dropping out of the race following the first presidential debate. In contrast, a New York Times/Siena College poll from late September showed Harris ahead of Trump by 2 points.
