The Trump campaign has called on CBS News to release the full, unedited version of Vice President Kamala Harris' recent "60 Minutes" interview, accusing the network of deceptive editing. The campaign points to differences between a promotional clip aired ahead of the interview and the full segment.
During the interview, host Bill Whitaker raised concerns about U.S. foreign aid to Israel during its conflict with Hamas, suggesting that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was not listening to the U.S. The promotional clip featured Harris stating that U.S. advocacy had led to certain movements in the region. However, in the full interview, Harris emphasized the U.S. commitment to ensuring the war ends.
The Trump campaign, through national press secretary Karoline Leavitt, questioned why CBS did not air Harris' full remarks and demanded that the entire transcript be made available to the public. As of Wednesday, CBS had not responded to the campaign’s request.
