Senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee has launched pop-up offices in several counties across the state to aid individuals affected by Hurricane Helene. The temporary offices, located in counties such as Greeneville and Cocke County, are set up to provide critical federal resources to those impacted by the recent storm.
Hurricane Helene, which made landfall in Florida as a Category 4 storm last week, caused significant damage across several states, including Tennessee, Georgia, North and South Carolina, and Virginia. The pop-up offices will assist residents with obtaining federal documentation needed for disaster assistance, such as Social Security cards, veteran records, and tax information.
In addition, Senator Blackburn’s initiative will help individuals complete disaster assistance applications. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has also established a hotline for reporting missing individuals in the aftermath of the storm.
These efforts come as part of a broader response to support recovery and rebuilding in the affected areas, offering much-needed federal aid to those impacted by the hurricane.
