Music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs was arrested in Manhattan on Monday in connection with a federal human trafficking investigation, Fox News Digital confirmed. The arrest comes after raids were conducted on Combs' homes in Los Angeles and Miami earlier this year. Authorities have yet to disclose the exact charges against the rapper.
Combs, 51, was apprehended in the lobby of a New York hotel. His attorney, Marc Agnifilo, expressed disappointment with the prosecution, calling it "unjust" and stating that Combs has been fully cooperative throughout the investigation. Agnifilo emphasized that Combs, a self-made entrepreneur and philanthropist, looks forward to clearing his name in court.
The U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Damian Williams, confirmed on social media that a sealed indictment had been filed, with plans to unseal it in the coming days.
In March, federal agents raided Combs' properties as part of an ongoing investigation into human trafficking. Homeland Security Investigations confirmed their involvement in the raids, which took place in cooperation with law enforcement in Los Angeles and Miami.
Combs also faces multiple lawsuits, including sexual assault allegations from several women. His legal team continues to deny the claims, asserting that many of the accusations are attempts to damage his reputation.
As the investigation unfolds, more details are expected to emerge in the coming days.
