Sean Combs, born on November 4, 1969, in Harlem, New York City, is an American rapper, record producer, and entrepreneur. He attended Howard University before leaving to pursue a career in the music industry. Combs gained prominence working as an intern at Uptown Records before founding his own record label, Bad Boy Entertainment, in 1993. Bad Boy quickly became one of the most influential hip-hop labels of the 1990s, launching the careers of artists like The Notorious B.I.G. and Faith Evans.
As a rapper, Combs has released multiple albums under various stage names, including Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, and Diddy. His debut album, No Way Out (1997), was a commercial success, winning the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. It included hit singles like "I'll Be Missing You" and "Can't Nobody Hold Me Down." Combs' later albums include Forever (1999), The Saga Continues... (2001), and Press Play (2006).
Beyond music, Combs expanded into various business ventures. He founded the Sean John clothing line in 1998 and partnered with Cîroc Vodka in 2007. He has also acted in films such as Monster’s Ball (2001) and Get Him to the Greek (2010). In 2013, Combs launched the cable network Revolt.
