Russia conducted a series of strikes on Ukraine overnight, leading to civilian casualties and property damage. In Kherson, a 61-year-old woman was killed, and seven others sustained injuries, according to regional Governor Oleksandr Prokudin.
In the nearby city of Zaporizhzhia, police reported that 16 individuals were injured during the air strikes. Governor Ivan Fedorov noted that 13 high-rise buildings, as well as educational institutions and private residences, were damaged as a result of the attacks.
The Ukrainian air force indicated that Russia launched at least two guided missiles and four drones during this wave of strikes. However, it reported that two of the missiles and one drone did not reach their intended targets, thanks to the active air defense measures implemented by Ukraine's Defense Forces.
The situation continues to evolve as both sides remain engaged in ongoing conflict, with civilian areas experiencing significant impacts from military actions.
