Russia claims overnight strikes on Ukrainian energy facilities

Russia’s Defense Ministry announced it conducted overnight strikes on energy facilities in Ukraine using high-precision weapons and drones. According to the ministry, the targeted facilities are vital for the functioning of Ukraine's military-industrial complex and the deployment of its armed forces.

Several regions in Ukraine reported airstrikes during the night. Ukrainian air defenses responded, claiming to have intercepted five missiles and 11 drones.

The attacks are part of ongoing military activity as tensions between the two countries continue. Both sides have reported frequent strikes on infrastructure, with energy facilities becoming a key target as winter approaches.
