On Sunday, over 100 rockets were launched from Lebanon into northern Israel, according to the Israeli military. Most of the rockets were intercepted by air defense systems, but some landed near Haifa, resulting in at least three injuries and damage to buildings and vehicles. Reports indicate that several structures, including a residential house, were struck in the area.
In response to the attacks, residents were advised to remain close to bomb shelters and safe rooms. Hezbollah claimed responsibility for targeting the Ramat David Airbase with multiple missile barrages, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing hostilities.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that they had conducted airstrikes on numerous Hezbollah targets, including missile launchers and military installations across southern Lebanon. The IDF had also carried out strikes on approximately 290 locations in Lebanon the previous day, marking one of the most intensive operations since the onset of conflict on October 7.
