Billionaire Vivek Ramaswamy has emphasized the necessity for impartial fact-checking among political candidates, particularly in light of recent claims made by Vice President Kamala Harris regarding abortion. During a segment on CNN This Morning, Ramaswamy highlighted Harris's assertion that women are "bleeding out in parking lots" due to abortion restrictions, stating that there is "no evidence" supporting this claim.
Ramaswamy articulated the importance of debating controversial topics, insisting that all claims must undergo scrutiny, regardless of political affiliation. He referenced a question posed by CNN anchor Kasie Hunt concerning reports of Haitian migrants engaging in unusual activities in Springfield, Ohio. Although he found no direct evidence during his visit to the city, he noted that some residents had mentioned witnessing such events.
The former presidential candidate further expressed concerns about escalating racial tensions and attributed part of this issue to "anti-racial policies" that promote heightened racial awareness. He argued that redistributing resources based on race contributes significantly to societal divides.
In addition to discussing these issues, Ramaswamy promoted his new book, Truths, which aims to inspire debate on complex topics. He expressed a desire to revive the unity he experienced in America during his upbringing. As of the book’s release, it ranked No. 3 on Amazon’s bestselling books list.
