Mike Johnson is an American politician and attorney serving as the U.S. Representative for Louisiana's 4th congressional district since 2017. Born on January 30, 1972, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Johnson earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Louisiana State University in 1995 and his Juris Doctor from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at LSU in 1998. Before entering politics, Johnson worked as a constitutional lawyer and was actively involved in religious liberty cases and conservative advocacy.

Johnson began his political career in the Louisiana House of Representatives, serving from 2015 to 2017, where he focused on family values, tax reform, and education. He won the seat for Louisiana's 4th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives during a special election in 2016 after the previous incumbent, John Fleming, vacated the seat. Johnson represents a largely rural district that includes the cities of Shreveport and Bossier City.
