In her memoir, Melania Trump writes, “A woman’s fundamental right of individual liberty grants her the authority to terminate her pregnancy if she wishes.” She also released a video on X, stating, "Individual freedom is a fundamental right that I safeguard."

Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, has called for federal protections to restore abortion rights as they existed under Roe v. Wade.
