Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah addressed escalating violence between Hezbollah and Israel, following a series of Israeli attacks that resulted in 37 deaths and nearly 3,000 injuries across Lebanon. The attacks, which targeted pagers and walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah, were described by Nasrallah as a "major terrorist operation" and a "massacre." He vowed that Hezbollah's response would be "gradual, escalating, and painful."
The recent strikes have intensified the conflict that began in October between Hezbollah and Israel. Analysts believe that Hezbollah’s retaliation could be delayed as the group regroups and reassesses its position. Nasrallah admitted that Hezbollah is at a technological disadvantage compared to Israel, which benefits from U.S. support, but emphasized the group’s resilience.
Though no immediate Israeli invasion is expected, experts warn of a potential escalation in the conflict. Both sides show no signs of seeking a negotiated settlement, and the technological gap, while significant, may not prevent further violence in the region.
