A 14-year-old student, Colt Gray, has been arrested for a shooting at Apalachee High School, Georgia, that left four dead and nine injured. The victims were identified as students Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14, and teachers Richard Aspenwall, 39, and Christina Irimie, 53.
Authorities revealed that Gray had been investigated last year after online threats of a similar attack were reported, though no action was taken at the time. He is now being charged as an adult for the attack, which was carried out with an AR-style weapon.
The school had implemented a new alarm system just a week earlier, helping to alert police quickly. Teachers' quick actions are credited with saving additional lives.
