David Raya is a professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. He was born on September 15, 1995, in Barcelona, Spain. Raya began his football career in Spain before moving to England in 2012, where he joined Blackburn Rovers' youth academy. After progressing through the youth ranks, Raya made his professional debut for Blackburn in 2014 and became the team's first-choice goalkeeper during the 2017–2018 season in League One.
In 2019, Raya transferred to Brentford, a club playing in the English Championship at the time. He quickly established himself as the team's primary goalkeeper and played a significant role in Brentford’s promotion to the Premier League in the 2020–2021 season. His performances in goal were instrumental in helping the club secure a place in the top tier of English football for the first time in over 70 years.
