NewsNation anchor Chris Cuomo addressed the second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, urging for public apologies and raising concerns about the reaction to the threats. Cuomo's remarks gained attention on social media as he highlighted that, despite his frequent criticism of Trump, the former president should not face violence.
Cuomo pointed to the recent incident when a Secret Service agent spotted the barrel of an AK-47 in the bushes near Trump as he played golf. The suspect, Ryan Wesley Routh, was approximately 400-500 yards away before fleeing and being arrested by local authorities.
Cuomo also referenced a previous assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July involving Thomas Matthew Crooks. He expressed his concern for Trump’s family, particularly Melania Trump, who recently expressed doubts about the official account of the Butler incident, calling for further investigation into the matter.
