China's defense technology made a significant impact at the 2024 Africa Aerospace and Defence Exhibition (AAD), capturing the attention of delegations from various countries. This prominent event, held near Pretoria, South Africa's administrative capital, is the largest airshow in Africa and an essential platform for showcasing advanced military technologies.
Chinese enterprises displayed a wide range of cutting-edge defense equipment, focusing on key areas such as armored assault, firepower, air defense, anti-missile systems, intelligent ammunition, and unmanned technologies. These innovations were demonstrated through detailed models and multimedia displays, emphasizing China's increasing influence in global defense markets.
On the first day of the exhibition, South African Defense Minister Angie Motshekga visited the Chinese defense exhibition area. She expressed her admiration, stating, "It's fascinating to see how war and defense have become highly technical and scientific. To remain relevant, it's essential to advance rapidly in science and technology."
The AAD is held every two years and attracts military professionals and decision-makers from across the globe. This year, the exhibition opened on Wednesday and will be available for public viewing on Saturday, giving the public an opportunity to witness the latest military advancements.
