The Indiana Fever broke an 11-game losing streak against the Connecticut Sun with an 84-80 win on Wednesday, highlighted by Caitlin Clark's record-setting performance. Clark scored 19 points, grabbed five rebounds, and provided five assists, setting a new WNBA rookie record for three-pointers in a season with 88, surpassing the previous record of 85.

Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever with 23 points, marking her fifth consecutive game with 20-plus points, a franchise record. Mitchell praised her growing chemistry with Clark, who has become a key player for Indiana.

The Fever (15-16) have won four of their last five games since the WNBA’s Olympic break, while the Sun (22-8) saw their three-game winning streak end. This win was Indiana's first against Connecticut since July 3, 2021.

Indiana led 51-42 at halftime, with Mitchell, Clark, and Lexie Hull all scoring in double figures. Hull, in her second start of the season, added 17 points and eight rebounds, hitting four of six three-pointers.

Connecticut’s DiJonai Carrington scored 19 points, while Alyssa Thomas contributed 17 points, six rebounds, and six assists. Despite a close finish, with Indiana leading 82-80, the Fever secured the win after Temi Fagbenle's crucial steal and two free throws from Hull.

Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles was among the spectators, witnessing a memorable night for the Fever.
